The British Council Scholarships for English Teachers in India fund postgraduate study in English language teaching and classroom technology for in-service teachers working in government schools. The scholarship covers tuition and living costs at two UK universities. Applicants must be Indian citizens employed in or partnered with government schools and have no prior UK university scholarships.
Indian citizens who are currently teaching or collaborating with government schools in India and have not previously received a scholarship to study at a UK university are eligible. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree and be proficient in English. There are no minimum marks or income criteria specified by the British Council.
