The Charles Wallace India Trust Awards support early to mid-career practitioners in arts and heritage conservation who wish to study or gain professional experience in the UK. Each year, the awards provide up to 10 long-term opportunities, typically ranging from 2–3 months to a maximum of one year. The balance between arts and heritage conservation fields varies annually based on demand and interview performance. Funding covers accommodation, living costs, fees, and a contribution toward international travel, but does not support two-year courses.
Applicants must be Indian citizens residing in India. They should be early to mid-career professionals in arts or heritage conservation. The awards are open to those applying for short-term courses, research, or professional placements in the UK. There are no strict income or marks-based conditions, but applicants must demonstrate a clear plan for their study or project.
Applications are submitted online through the official British Council form. Applicants must provide personal details, a project proposal, and supporting documents such as a CV, references, and proof of acceptance from a UK institution. Late or incomplete applications are not considered.
