The Charpak Masters Scholarships support Indian students who wish to pursue a master’s degree in France for one to two academic years. Open to all fields of study, the scholarship covers tuition and living costs, enabling recipients to focus on their coursework without financial stress. Administered by Campus France India, it is named after Georges Charpak, a Nobel laureate in physics, reflecting the program’s commitment to academic excellence.
Indian citizens under 30 years of age are eligible. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent and have secured admission to a master’s program at a French university. There are no restrictions based on caste, gender, or income level.
Proficiency in French or English, depending on the program, is generally required.
Apply online through the Campus France India portal before the stated deadline. Prepare academic transcripts, proof of admission, a CV, a statement of purpose, and two letters of recommendation. Shortlisted candidates may be invited for an interview.
Ensure all documents are attested and translated into French or English as required.
