Chevening Gurukul Fellowship for Leadership and Excellence

The Chevening Gurukul Fellowship for Leadership and Excellence is a fully funded fellowship for mid-career professionals in India who demonstrate strong leadership potential. This programme, supported by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, aims to develop leadership skills and address challenges faced by emerging leaders across sectors. Over two decades, the fellowship has provided a platform for professionals to explore evolving leadership practices and collaborate with peers from diverse backgrounds.

Open to Indian citizens who are mid-career professionals with at least seven years of work experience. Applicants should hold a graduate degree and show evidence of leadership potential in their field. The fellowship is open to candidates from all backgrounds, including SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwD, and minority communities.

There are no income or marks-based conditions for eligibility.

Applications are submitted online through the official programme page. Candidates must provide a detailed CV, academic transcripts, two professional references, and a leadership statement. Shortlisted applicants will be invited for an interview.

The selection panel assesses leadership potential, professional achievements, and the candidate’s ability to contribute to public life in India.
