The Chevening Scholarships for Indian Students 2026–2027 is a fully funded UK government programme for Indian citizens to pursue one-year master’s degrees in the United Kingdom. It covers full tuition fees, a monthly living allowance, travel costs, and other allowances. The scholarship is open to applicants from all academic disciplines and professional backgrounds who can demonstrate leadership potential and a commitment to contributing to India’s development.
Applicants must be Indian citizens with at least two years of work experience. They should hold a degree that is equivalent to a UK upper second-class honours degree. Candidates must also meet the English language requirement set by the chosen UK university.
There are no minimum marks or income criteria; selection is based on leadership qualities, networking skills, and the potential to influence positive change in India.
Applications must be submitted online through the official Chevening website before the specified deadline. Applicants need to select three eligible UK master’s courses and receive an unconditional offer from one of them. The process includes providing academic transcripts, references, and a record of work experience.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview before final selection.
