Erasmus Mundus scholarship

The Erasmus Mundus scholarship funds full tuition and living expenses for Indian students enrolling in the two-year EMLex joint master’s programme. The programme is designed for students interested in lexicography and lexicology, combining international mobility with structured coursework. During the first and fourth semesters, students study at their chosen home university, while the second semester is spent at a rotating host university within the consortium.

A third semester option allows limited mobility to another partner university if required by the academic track.

Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as linguistics, languages, or related disciplines. The programme is open to students from all nationalities, including Indian nationals. Selection is based on academic merit, motivation, and language proficiency.

No specific income or caste-based reservations apply, but preference may be given to candidates with prior research or professional experience in lexicography or computational linguistics.

Submit an online application through the official EMLex portal before the stated deadline. Prepare academic transcripts, a CV, a statement of purpose, and two letters of recommendation. Proof of English language proficiency (e.g., IELTS or TOEFL) is required unless exempted.

Shortlisted candidates may be invited for an interview or additional assessment. Ensure all documents are attested and translated if not in English.
