F.A.Hayek Scholarship in Economics or Political Science

The F.A. Hayek Scholarship in Economics or Political Science supports postgraduate students pursuing an honours or master’s degree with a research focus in Economics or Political Science. Established in 1994 through a gift by Alan Gibbs, this scholarship assists students enrolled in programmes with a course weighting between 0.75 and 1.50 EFTS, including a research component of at least 30 points.

It is tenable for either part one or part two of a two-year master’s degree or for one-year, 180-point master’s degrees offered by the Department of Political Science or the Department of Economics at the University.

Open to postgraduate students enrolled in an honours or master’s programme in Economics or Political Science with a research component of at least 30 points. The course weighting must fall within the range of 0.75 to 1.50 EFTS. Applicants must be enrolled in either part one or part two of a two-year master’s degree or a one-year, 180-point master’s degree at the University.

Applications must be submitted through the official scholarship portal listed on the University’s website. Prepare academic transcripts, a research proposal, and letters of recommendation. Ensure all required documents are uploaded before the deadline.
