The Goa Education Trust Scholarships support Indian students pursuing postgraduate studies in the UK. Established in 2009 by the Dempo and Fomento Groups in collaboration with the British Council, the scholarship initially served Goan students but expanded in 2015 to include all Indian nationals. It funds master's programs across disciplines such as Journalism, Education, Ancient History, and Law at top UK universities. The scholarship aims to provide academic and professional growth opportunities for Indian students seeking international exposure.
Open to Indian nationals applying for a master's program in the UK. Candidates must hold a recognized undergraduate degree. Preference may be given based on academic merit, financial need, or specific program relevance. There are no strict income or marks thresholds, but applicants should demonstrate strong academic or professional achievements.
The scholarship is inclusive of all Indian students, regardless of state of origin.
Applications are submitted online through the official Goa Education Trust or British Council portal. Candidates must provide academic transcripts, proof of admission or application to a UK university, a statement of purpose, and references. Shortlisted applicants may be required to attend an interview.
