The Hornby Scholarships fund English language teachers from outside the UK to study a one-year Master’s in English Language Teaching (ELT) at the University of Warwick. The scholarship covers full tuition fees for the TESOL programme starting in October 2020. It is designed for experienced teachers seeking advanced training to enhance their professional practice in English language education.
The scheme is administered by the A.S. Hornby Educational Trust in partnership with the British Council.
Open to English language teachers from countries outside the UK. Applicants must hold a first degree in English or a related field and have at least three years of full-time teaching experience. Priority is given to teachers working in low-resource contexts or from underrepresented regions. Fluency in English is required.
