The Klaus Liebscher Economic Research Scholarship supports international researchers to conduct advanced economic research at the Oesterreichische Nationalbank (OeNB) in Vienna. It is open to scholars from India and other countries who are pursuing research in central banking, macroeconomics, European integration, or monetary policy. The program offers financial support and access to the OeNB’s research infrastructure, enabling collaboration with experts in economic analysis.
Applicants must hold at least a master’s degree in economics or a related field. The scholarship is open to researchers at all career stages, including PhD candidates and early-career professionals. There are no specific income or grade thresholds; selection is based on research potential and alignment with the OeNB’s research priorities.
Non-Austrian nationals, including Indian citizens, are eligible to apply.
Submit a research proposal, curriculum vitae, academic transcripts, and two letters of recommendation through the OeNB’s online application portal. The proposal should outline the research objectives, methodology, and relevance to central banking or macroeconomic policy. Shortlisted candidates may be invited for an interview.
