The Knight-Hennessy Scholars Program offers full funding for international graduate students to study any degree at Stanford University. It brings together up to 90 high-achieving students annually to build a community of global leaders. The program supports graduate degrees including DMA, JD, MA, MBA, MD, MFA, MS, and PhD, as well as joint and dual degrees.
It is the largest fully endowed scholars program in the world, focusing on independent thinkers with purposeful leadership and civic commitment.
Open to students of any nationality applying for a graduate degree at Stanford. Applicants must hold a first/bachelor’s degree received within the last seven years. Leadership, civic commitment, and intellectual independence are required.
No specific marks or income thresholds are stated; selection is based on demonstrated potential.
Apply separately to both the Knight-Hennessy Scholars Program and a Stanford graduate degree program. Submit an online application including essays, transcripts, test scores, a resume, and two recommendation letters. Shortlisted candidates are invited for an in-person or virtual interview.
