The National Scholarship Programme of the Slovak Republic (NSP) offers scholarships for international PhD students to study or conduct research at higher education institutions and research organisations in Slovakia. Established by the Slovak government in 2005, the programme is funded by the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic. It supports mobility for PhD students, university teachers, researchers, and artists from eligible countries.
The NSP is open to PhD students from eligible countries who wish to pursue research stays in Slovakia. Applicants must be enrolled in a PhD programme or hold a PhD degree. The programme does not impose specific income or mark-based conditions, but applicants must meet the criteria outlined on the official website.
Priority may be given to applicants from certain countries or fields of study.
