Sydney Scholars India Scholarship Program

The Sydney Scholars India Scholarship Program supports Indian students beginning any undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree at the University of Sydney. It aims to deepen academic ties between India and Australia. Each year the program distributes a set amount of funding to commencing Indian students across three award tiers.

The largest awards support full-degree undergraduate study, while smaller first-year scholarships are open to both undergraduate and postgraduate entrants.

Applicants must be Indian citizens starting a coursework degree at the University of Sydney. Selection is based on academic merit and, for some awards, demonstrated financial need. There are no restrictions by discipline or caste category.

Students already enrolled at the university are not eligible.

Apply online through the University of Sydney’s scholarship portal before the published closing date. Submit academic transcripts, proof of Indian citizenship, and any required financial statements. Shortlisted candidates may be invited for an interview or asked for additional documentation.
