The University of Bonn Argelander Scholarships support doctoral candidates from countries in the Global South, including Africa, South America, and Asia, to conduct research at the University of Bonn. The program aims to strengthen scientific collaboration with regions that have limited representation in global research output. Funding is provided for a minimum of three years to enable sustained academic exchange and capacity building.
Submit a research proposal, academic transcripts, letters of recommendation, and a statement of purpose through the University of Bonn’s online application portal. Ensure all documents are in English or German. Shortlisted candidates may be invited for an interview.
