The Utrecht University – Utrecht Excellence Scholarships support highly talented international students from outside the European Union/European Economic Area, including Indian applicants, to pursue a Master's degree at Utrecht University. The program aims to attract outstanding scholars by covering tuition fees and contributing to living expenses, enabling them to engage in world-class academic programs and research in the Netherlands. Recipients benefit from a dynamic university environment while advancing their educational and professional goals.
Open to students applying for a Master's program at Utrecht University. Applicants must belong to the top 10% of their graduating class, hold a relevant Bachelor's degree, and come from a non-EU/EEA country. Selection is based on academic excellence, the quality of the Master's program application, and motivation.
Indian students are specifically encouraged to apply if they meet these criteria.
Apply for a Master's program at Utrecht University first. During the application, indicate interest in the Utrecht Excellence Scholarships. Submit a motivation letter (maximum 500 words) explaining why you qualify for the scholarship.
