The Women Techmakers Scholars Program – APAC 2020 supports women pursuing computing and technology studies in the Asia-Pacific region. Google’s initiative honors Dr. Anita Borg’s mission to advance gender equality in tech by offering financial aid and mentorship. It connects scholars with a network of innovators to strengthen their academic and professional growth.
Open to women identifying as female who are enrolled in any university program in the Asia-Pacific region. Applicants must demonstrate leadership through academic or extracurricular activities in technology. There are no income or grade cut-offs; selection focuses on potential and impact in the field.
Submit an online application through the official form before the deadline. Prepare a resume, academic transcripts, and two letters of recommendation. Write a 400-word essay on your leadership in technology and a 250-word response about a project demonstrating your technical skills.
