Yale Young Global Scholars (YYGS) is a fully funded summer program for high school students worldwide. Each year, YYGS invites outstanding students from over 125 countries to Yale University’s campus for two-week interdisciplinary sessions. Participants engage in global learning, collaborate with peers, and explore academic fields such as social sciences, humanities, STEM, and more.
The program aims to foster intellectual curiosity and cross-cultural understanding among young leaders.
Open to high school students currently enrolled in grades 10 or 11 (or equivalent). Applicants must demonstrate strong academic performance and English proficiency. Financial need may be considered for fee waivers.
The program is open to all nationalities, including Indian students. There are no strict income or grade cut-offs, but competitive selection is based on academic merit and personal achievements.
Submit an online application via the official YYGS portal before the deadline. Include academic transcripts, one teacher recommendation, and a personal statement. Apply early to receive an application fee discount.
If the fee is a barrier, request a fee waiver by submitting financial documentation. Decisions are typically announced within six weeks of the deadline.
