The APEX Fellowships support undergraduate students worldwide to conduct research on gut microbiota and its impact on human health and disease. Fellows work within academic institutions in Ireland, including University College Cork, Teagasc Moorepark, or Cork Institute of Technology. The program includes a mandatory industry placement to provide practical experience in cross-disciplinary research environments.

Open to undergraduate students of any nationality who meet mobility requirements. Applicants must secure a host position at one of the specified Irish institutions.
