History

Algoma University was initially an affiliate of Sudbury’s Laurentian University. In 1967, first classes. In 2009, Algoma Uni celebrated its first graduation class. Brampton Campus of the university was launched in 2009. In 1995 and 2001, Student Residence Buildings constructed. The Algoma University Act 2008 amended in 2021 authorizing Algoma Uni to offer PG Degrees, Certificates, and Diplomas.
