Welcome to the Office of Assessment at Bay Path University. As the mission of the University states, Bay Path “empowers learners to become leaders in their careers and communities with an innovative approach to learning that prepares students to flourish in a constantly changing world.” To achieve that, the University has instituted an ongoing process of assessment of all academic programs and all non-academic departments to continuously monitor student learning and institutional effectiveness and ensure the continual improvement of academic programs and University services.

Bay Path University is accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education (formerly the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Inc.).

Accreditation of an institution of higher education by the Commission indicates thatit meets or exceeds criteria for the assessment of institutional quality periodicallyapplied through a peer review process. An accredited college or university is onewhich has available the necessary resources to achieve its stated purposes throughappropriate educational programs, is substantially doing so, and gives reasonableevidence that it will continue to do so in the foreseeable future. Institutional integrityis also addressed through accreditation.

Accreditation by the Commission is not partial but applies to the institution as awhole. As such, it is not a guarantee of every course or program or thecompetence of individual graduates. Rather, it provides reasonable assurance aboutthe quality of opportunities available to students who attend the institution.Inquiries regarding the accreditation status by the Commission should be directed tothe administrative staff of the institution. While attending Bay Path University, Bay Path students, who desire to resolve a grievance should first follow the University's student grievance procedure. if a grievance cannot be resolved internally, you may file a grievance with the Massachusetts Department of Higher Education by visiting SARA - Student Complaints.

Students who are enrolled in online-only programs at Bay Path and who are Massachusetts residents may file a complaint using the Massachusetts Department of Higher Education consumer complaint form.
