History
Fordham University was established in 1841 by John Hughes. The university was established as St. John’s College. But, the origins of the university can be traced back to 1839. In the 15 years from 1905 and 1920, Fordham gradually assumed the dimensions of a genuine university with the establishment of College of Pharmacy, and at least the foundation of 7 graduate schools. In the 1960s, a major milestone in the development of Fordham University took place with the establishing of Lincoln Center campus. The university went onto expand its Lincoln Center Campus in 2014. In the same year, its renovated Law school as well as an additional dormitory, McKeon Hall was opened.
