It’s great that you’ve chosen HKU! Find out here how to apply for an HKU degree programme. Once you’ve applied, there is usually an admissions procedure to ensure that you’ll be coming to the right place.

You can submit your application for the 2026-2027 academic year from 1 October 2025.

If we receive your application before 15 January 2026, we guarantee you a place in the admissions procedure. Applications received after 15 January 2026 will be processed based on availability.

Some programmes at HKU are very popular or offer a limited number of places. Once the programme or admissions procedure has reached the maximum number of places, we can no longer process your application to participate in the admissions procedure.
