International Business School is accredited as an institution by the British Accreditation Council (BAC). The accreditation attests that IBS meets the rigorous academic standards that are set by one of the leading UK accreditation bodies, a member of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA). By choosing an institution accredited by BAC, students can gain additional assurance that their institution meets globally-recognised educational standards.

In order to achieve BAC accreditation, BAC has inspected the management, teaching, student welfare, and premises of IBS to ensure that it meets the high standards required of higher education institutions in the UK. The inspection targeted the following areas:

In 2023, IBS extended its accreditation by BAC for its second 4-year term. The accreditation is valid until 31 March 2027.

To attain accreditation organisation must meet the standards that BAC has established and periodically reviews. The accreditation process involves a rigorous inspection on campus that focuses on the quality assurance processes of the organisation in a number of distinct areas: management, staffing, and administration; teaching, learning, and assessment; student welfare; and premises and facilities. Once accredited, the organisation must submit to a regular monitoring process involving interim, supplementary, and spot-check inspections.
