Limerick Institute of Technology

Limerick Institute of Technology (LIT) is an institution of higher education in Limerick, Ireland. LIT has been named The Sunday Times Institute of Technology of the Year twice (in 2008 and 2013) in The Sunday Times University Guide, catering to over 6,500 students across its campuses in Limerick and Tipperary.

The institute operated across five campuses, including locations in Limerick, Thurles, Clonmel, and a regional learning centre in Ennis:

• Moylish Park Campus (Limerick): The main campus, located adjacent to Thomond Park, housing the Faculty of Applied Science, Engineering and Technology and the School of Business and Humanities.
• Clare Street and Clonmel Campuses: Home to the School of Art & Design.

LIT offered qualification levels from Level 6 (certificate) through Level 10 (PhD), alongside craft apprenticeships and adult/continuing education. With a focus on partnership, innovation, and industry alignment, the institution has expanded its reach to serve over 15,000 enrolled students annually across hundreds of courses in four counties.
