Entry requirements at Mid Sweden University
Mid Sweden University offers programmes at both Bachelor's and Master's level, all taught entirely in English.
You apply through the national application portal universityadmissions.se, which handles applications for all Swedish universities, including Mid Sweden University.
We strongly recommend all international students to apply in the first admission round, especially if you require a residence permit to study in Sweden.
The first admission round generally opens in mid-October and closes in mid-January for studies starting in the autumn semester, and opens in early June and closes in mid-August for studies starting in the spring semester.
Only applicants from the EU/EEA or Switzerland may apply in the second admission round. This round takes place later in the process: in the spring for the autumn semester, and in the autumn for the spring semester.
Students who require a residence permit should not apply in the second admission round, as there may not be sufficient time to obtain a residence permit before the start of the semester.
The admission results, called Notification of Selection Results, are published on universityadmissions.se according to the national admission timeline.You will be able to download your Notification of Selection Results as a PDF under “Your pages”. This document serves as your official Letter of Admission to Mid Sweden University and can be used when applying for a residence permit or visa.
