International applicants who plan to study in Russian-taught degree programs at MEPhI and need to improve their Russian language skills can enroll in the Preparatory Training Program at MEPhI in Moscow or Obninsk.

The program lasts one academic year and prepares students for admission to Russian-language Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD programs at MEPhI and other Russian universities.

Please note: Medicine and Natural Sciences tracks are available only at the Obninsk campus.

Social Sciences and Humanities (depending on the chosen track)

Online classes available at the beginning of the academic year before arrival in Russia

Opportunity to continue studies at MEPhI after successful completion

Upon successful completion of the program and final examinations, students receive a Preparatory Program Certificate recognized by universities across the Russian Federation.

The Preparatory Training Program is offered on a tuition-fee basis.
