No, this is not mandatory. But students can join the Indian Student Association as well as the International club and well as clubs related to their major, or religion or other interests. All hold events for students throughout the year

Is there any specific tenant/ lease rules in the area that international students should know of?

In Chicago, many apartments require a person to go through a background check (cost is $500) + pay 3 months rent at the beginning, first month, last month rent + a security deposit. For this reason, we suggest students live on campus at first and then find friends to rent from after the first semester.

We are in a safe neighborhood, and there are call boxes on campus if someone needs help. Students can call an Uber or Lift, and these are safe ride options.
