OWU is one of the most comprehensive liberal arts schools in the country. It is one of only 45 schools featured in Colleges That Change Lives and is ranked as a top national liberal arts college by U.S. News & World Report. OWU's breadth of more than 70 majors includes Business, Data Analytics, Fine Arts, Communication, and Education; scientific fields such as Neuroscience and Zoology; and a wide range of pre-professional areas, including Medicine, Dentistry, Law, and Engineering.

What makes OWU distinctive is its focus on connection—it's the foundation of The OWU Connection.

Employers covet OWU's well-prepared graduates. In 2024, 96% of reporting graduates were employed, in graduate school, or in the military within six months. OWU's Career Connection program connects students with internship opportunities from Silicon Valley to the Mayo Clinic to the New York arts world and Wall Street.

OWU students are uber-involved on the beautiful, historic, 200-acre campus in central Ohio, with over 100 student clubs, organizations, and activities. Bishops compete on 24 varsity sports teams, and students contribute more than 40,000 hours a year in volunteer service.

On campus, OWU offers over 70 majors, and about a third of students graduate with multiple majors.
