Saarland University

Saarland University is situated in Saarbrucken, which is a small, safe and student-dominated city on the French border. France is only a 15-minute drive from the Saarland Campus. The campus is compact and walkable. The cost of living is the lowest of any major German university city. The rent ranges between EUR 650 (INR 70.8K) and EUR 950 (INR 1.03L).

• Indian students can rent affordable rooms on campus or off-campus. The students can apply for the same via the Studierendenwerk Saarland.
• The main campus has the central 'Mensa' which means the student cafeteria, food trucks and small cafes like the Philo Cafe.
• The campus has a trilingual culture with students from across the world through buddy programs, trips and cultural events.
• The campus is built inside a forest to which students can easily go for jogging or walking. There is also a campus gym and many different sport classes
• The students love the Nuawieser Viertel, which is a neighborhood full of bars, cafes and shops. Students also get a semester ticket aloowing for free bus and train travel accross the whole state.
