The Career Taster Pilot Program is designed for Queensland Year 10 students who are beginning to think about what they might like to do after school. The program provides an opportunity to test drive different career areas, try real skills, and discover what inspires you — without committing to a specific pathway.
A Career Taster is a short, hands-on learning experience that allows you to step into real or simulated industry environment and try out different jobs. Career Taster programs are delivered one day per week and are offered across a range of TAFE Queensland campuses.
The fully funded Career Taster Programs have been designed to fit around high school subjects, allowing you to get a head start on your learning journey while maintaining studies at school.
Gain a better understanding of which subjects or pathways align with your interests before making decisions.
The program is fully funded and does not impact VET in Schools (VETiS) entitlements.
All Queensland Year 10 students are welcome to apply, including students from home education and distance education communities.
