University of Georgia

The main university campus is situated in Athens, Georgia. and its different parts are designated as North Campus, South Campus, Central Campus, West Campus, and East Campus.
UGA campus size is over 760 acres. To enjoy student life, students can take part in student organizations. There are over 700 registered student organizations at the university. There are also a number of recreational activities for students to take part in such as taking a fitness class, playing racquetball, lifting weights or running around the indoor track.

In addition to the main campus in Athens, there are two smaller campuses situated in Tifton and Griffin. Also, there are two satellite campuses of this university situated in Atlanta and Lawrenceville.

• Athens Campus: The heart of the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences can be found on the southern end of the university campus. Additionally, Conner Hall, the administrative center of the college is also located at this campus.
• Griffin Campus: UGA University Griffin campus is situated 30 miles south Atlanta’s airport in Griffin. Researchers here at his campus focus on Urban Agriculture and also lead research in the fields of Food Science and Safety. In addition to UGA students in graduate-level studies, this campus also hosts students in various Bachelor’s degree programs and one Master’s program
• Tifton Campus: The researchers at UGA University Tifton Campus focus their projects on Traditional Agriculture. They also conduct leading research in the field of irrigation and global information systems

Athletics

UGA University varsity athletic teams participate in the NCAA’s Division I FBS as a member of the Southeastern Conference. There are 9 men’s varsity sports, 12 women’s varsity sports, 22 intramural sports and 45 club sports.This university has won national championships in football, women’s equestrian, baseball, golf, tennis, indoor and outdoor track & field, and women’s swimming and diving. Also note, UGA University’s women’s gymnastics team, has an NCAA-leading 10 national championships in gymnastics, including five consecutive championships from 2005 – 2009.
