UMSL St Louis History
Earlier known as the Normandy Residence Center, University of Missouri St Louis was later founded after a legislation was passed in September 1963. The first classroom lab building called the Benton Hall was founded in 1966, the Clark Hall in 1968 and the Stadler Hall in 1970.
During the 1990s, University of Missouri St Louis experienced rapid growth and development with an addition of dorms, chapel and administration buildings of the Sacred Heart Sisters. By the beginning of the 20th century, many of the colleges and schools at the university campus were being established.
