University of Pittsburgh for Indian Students

The University of Pittsburgh USA offers a number of Indian student communities including: ANKUR: Indian Graduate Students Association, Asha for Education, Association for India's Development - Pittsburgh, Dhirana, Indian Students Association, Nrityamala, Sangeet and the Shanti Bhavan Student Alliance at Pitt and more.

ANKUR acts as a common platform to bring together all graduate students of Indian origin at the Pitt University campus.

International Student Support Services

The Pitt Global Hub, is a student centered organization, open to both domestic and international students, and provides a number of services including: access to clubs and student groups, international community, access to international internships, research projects, funding and scholarship opportunities and much more.

The Ofiice of International Services at Uni Pittsburgh provides students guidance to related to housing and relocation to Pittsburgh, while the University Center for International Studies (UCIS) provides guidance related to scholarships and research work.

For Health and Wellness, the university offers a comprehensive health insurance cover, and a number of mental health resources such as counselling sessions, are provided by the University Counselling Center.

Student Organizations

The Student Organization Resource Center (SORC) houses the Graduate and Student Government (GPSG), which is the governing body of all student organizations for graduates at Pitt.

There are more than 600 Pitt University student organizations to choose from across a number of prominent areas of studies including: Engineering, Business, Law, Education, Pharmacy, Biomedical, Nursing, and Sports.

The American Marketing Association, Alpha Kappa Psi, 1st Down Football Club and Club Football at Pitt are some notable student organizations at the university.

University of Pittsburgh Housing

The Pittsburgh University housing services are available in the form of residential halls and apartments. The University of Pittsburgh residential halls includes 7 facilities, namely: Brackenridge Hall, Bruce Hall, Forbes Hall, Holland Hall, Irvis Hall, Sutherland Hall, Mark A. Nordenberg Hall and Lothrop Hall, along with four additional housing facilities, namely: Pennsylvania Apartments, Litchfield Towers A, B and C, and finally House 7.

The follwoing facilities are available at each facility: twin bed (XL), Dresser, Desk, Desk Chair, Coffee table, Window Blinds, Sofa, Wardrobe or Closet, micro fridge in each suite and trash cans.

The estimated annual rental cost is around USD 9,810.
