At UPEI, more than 5,500 students from over 92 countries come together to learn and discover. UPEI's values are drawn from the principles on which the University of Prince Edward Island was established in 1969—honouring the history of our two founding institutions, Prince of Wales College (est. 1834) and Saint Dunstan’s University (est. 1855), and reflecting a dynamic, diverse modern institution of higher learning.
