Federal Direct Loans are low-interest loans funded by the U.S. Department of Education. These loans are available to both undergraduate and graduate students who qualify by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).Types of Federal Direct Loans
Parent PLUS Loans (Undergraduate)Parents of dependent undergraduate students may apply for a Federal Parent PLUS Loan to help cover remaining educational expenses after other financial aid is applied. Credit approval is required.
Graduate and professional students may apply for a Federal Grad PLUS Loan.
