The sciences underpin contemporary approaches to health, wellbeing and human understanding. Through studies in health sciences, biomedical science and exercise physiology, students develop a strong foundation in how the human body functions — from infection control and population health screening to the biological mechanisms that support wellbeing across the lifespan and exercise as a form of ‘medicine’. These degrees emphasise evidence-based knowledge, critical thinking and scientific inquiry, preparing graduates to contribute meaningfully across research, health, education and policy-related contexts.

Bond’s Bachelor of Health Sciences and Bachelor of Biomedical Science offer diverse career pathways, including research and development, laboratory and health sciences, health promotion, data and policy analysis, and education. If you enjoy experimentation, problem-solving, or working with data, these degrees provide a flexible and future-focused foundation.

For students with an interest in human movement, physical activity and sport, pathways are available through Bond’s Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology.

Our health sciences, biomedical science and exercise physiology Bachelor programs provide a strong platform for further postgraduate study in allied health including nutrition and dietetics, occupational therapy and physiotherapy.

If you are already an established health professional and keen to enact change in your workplace, then our suite of healthcare innovations offerings can sharpen your skills to help advance your career.

With an abundance of potential career pathways on offer, including research and development, clinical practice and education, working in healthcare presents the opportunity to make a real difference to people’s lives.

World-class health and science facilities span the Bond University campus and nearby Bond Institute of Health and Sport. These include anatomy, health science and sports science labs, simulated hospital wards, clinical skills rooms, a community allied health and wellness clinic, biomechanics lab, kitchen lab, work/play lab, rehab gym and the internationally-accredited and renowned High Performance Training Centre, which attracts elite athletes and teams from across the world.

Many of our programs provide opportunities for overseas study trips, rural, remote and international placements, First Nations cultural immersion experiences and participation in international industry and research conferences.
