UTokyo Campus Location

The university maintains its presence across 5 locations in Japan, including 3 main campuses in Kashiwa, Hongo, and Komaba, along with 2 other smaller facilities in Nakano and Shirokane.

The Hongo campus is the main UTokyo Campus, and is also the oldest one at the university.

University of Tokyo Campus Life

• You can choose from more than 100 student clubs and societies across popular areas like Music, Arts, Japanese Culture, Martial Arts, and Team Sports.
• For Housing, the university maintains several on-campus residence halls and private or shared apartments equipped with all important services like beds, desks, community kitchens, gym, laundry, and bathrooms, among other services.
• The university also maintains multiple cafeterias and dining halls on campus, which tend to remain open for most of the day, and caters to both vegetarian and non-vegetarian students. A meal can cost you around ¥400-¥700 (INR 230-INR 400).
• UTokyo takes the mental and physical well-being of its students very seriously and offers several student support services related to career, studying abroad, nursery and break room support, and academic support.
